Phinomics has been awarded a $2.7M Phase-I/Phase-II highly competitive, fast-track NIH award.
We maintain a Research Conduct Policy that guides all scientific and operational activities (NIH- or privately funded) at Phinomics
At Phinomics, we are committed to fostering a respectful and intellectually vibrant environment where every team member can thrive both personally and professionally. We believe that great science is driven by curiosity, critical thinking, and a shared commitment to integrity—not by ego or hierarchy. Our collective mission is to produce rigorous, high-quality data grounded in robust, reproducible science that can withstand scrutiny and stand the test of time. To that end, we expect every member of our team—regardless of role or seniority—to uphold the following principles:
1. Scientific Curiosity and Independence
Every member of the team is encouraged to follow their scientific curiosity and to pursue questions with creativity and independence.
We value deep engagement with the unknown and a willingness to challenge assumptions, including our own.
Original thinking and independent validation are core to our innovation pipeline and essential to advancing our understanding of complex biological systems.
2. Critical Thinking and Rigor
Our work is grounded in well-designed experiments, thoughtful controls, and transparent documentation.
We prioritize clarity, logical reasoning, and data integrity over flash.
Constructive questioning—of one’s own work and of others'—is welcomed and encouraged as a vital part of the scientific process.
3. Collaboration and Feedback
We foster a culture of open dialogue and mutual respect. Constructive feedback is not only accepted, but expected.
Feedback should always be delivered respectfully and received with an open mind, in the spirit of continuous improvement.
We do not view critique as a personal attack, but as a professional tool to sharpen our science and elevate our impact.
4. Integrity Over Ego
We are not driven by egos or titles. We are united by a shared goal: to solve challenging problems with long-term impact on human health.
Credit is shared fairly, transparency is upheld, and mistakes are treated as opportunities to learn, not sources of shame.
Scientific excellence is measured not by how loudly one speaks, but by the strength and clarity of the evidence.
Mistakes happen- we don’t judge anyone for making mistakes. What matters is how mistakes are handled. We evaluate this based on:
How quickly a mistake is identified independently
How quickly and effectively it is corrected
How much effort and time is required from others to resolve issues that could have been avoided
5. Accountability and Trust
We trust each other to uphold the highest standards of scientific conduct, and we hold ourselves accountable to those standards.
Data manipulation, selective reporting, or any compromise of integrity is unacceptable and will be addressed swiftly and seriously.
Our work—whether computational, experimental, or strategic—must be reproducible, well-documented, and reviewable by peers.
Together, we are building something larger than any one individual. Our strength lies in the collective pursuit of truth, and in our commitment to a scientific culture defined by excellence, humility, and purpose. This policy complies with the Federal regulation 42 CFR Part 93 for research conduct.
We provide a Financial Conflict of Interest Policy for Research Supported by The National Institutes of Health
The federal Department of Health and Human Services has developed regulations (42 CFR Part 50 Subpart F and 45 CFR Part 94) on Promoting Objectivity in Research. The regulations were first developed in 1995, and in 2011, the regulations were revised. These regulations describe the actions an individual and an organization must take to promote objectivity in PHS-funded research. The regulations apply to all Public Health Service (PHS) (e.g., National Institutes of Health [NIH])-funded grants, cooperative agreements, and research contracts. The regulations are not applicable to Phase 1 Small Business Innovation Research or Small Business Technology Transfer applications and/or awards. This policy implements the regulatory requirements for PHINOMICS, INC.
